Educational Qualification
- Minimum Qualification: Postgraduate degree (MDS) in the relevant specialty.
- Alternative Qualification: Diploma holders may also apply if they meet the following conditions:
- They must have completed a postgraduate diploma course (Residency Scheme).
- Diploma holders will be awarded 10 marks equivalent to an MDS degree, but their ranking in the merit list will be below candidates with an MDS degree.
- Special Eligibility:
- 40% of posts will be filled by members of the Bihar State Health Service cadre.
- 40% of posts will be filled by candidates who have completed a postgraduate degree (Residency Scheme) from dental colleges in Bihar.
- 20% of posts will be filled by candidates who have completed a postgraduate degree (Residency Scheme) from recognized institutions outside Bihar.
